Around Town Week 3 (Farmers Market)

Beth Hoinacki and Shannon Finley from GoodFoot Farm are up bright and early this past Wednesday to set up for the Corvallis Farmers Market. GoodFoot farm is located in Kings Valley, and their mission is to provide unconventionally grown food for the community. They grow certified organic fruits and vegetables and have been Demeter Certified Biodynamic.

Rob from Quince Essential shared a passionate story about an ancient, and nearly forgotten fruit. His goal is to teach everyone about this sour fruit that he holds so dearly. He started his farm in Dec. 2013, and he now has over 45 quince trees in 7 different varieties.

Luke Beene of Beene Farms sells a variety of different vegetables. This past Wednesday, he had anything from peppers, to potatoes, to tomatoes. He's at the Corvallis Farmers Market every Wednesday and Saturday. The Corvallis Farmers Market is open until Nov. 24th.
